Water Pollution
Adition of foreign substances (chemical, biological) to water or any cahng in its physical properties that constitute a health hazard or otherwise makes it less fit or unfit for use is known as water Pollution.
Couses Of Polution : Heat and Oil spills, heated effluents detergent, chemicals like lead, murcaury, cadmium।
DDT,BHI,PCB, Organic wast days coal, acids,alkine.
Pathogens, bacteria, viruses,helminths,protozoza,algae,fungi,fungal.
Decompositio products of animals arigin.
Pollution takes place due to discharg of domestic waste water, sewage municipal wastes. Industrial wastes was out of agricultural lands, oil slicks, water soluble conteminents from air and land finaly find their ways in water and pollut it.
In india, all major rivers like Ganga, yamuna, godavari, gomati,kosi, kaveri,Ravi,Chenab, Nermada, Mahi, Tapi, krishana are facing problem of water Pollution.
Industries passed through food chains and reach human body directly. Concentration of the toxic material increase at each trophic level of food chain, this is called biomegnification.
Drinking water fit for consumption after only disinfection.
Water is saf for outdoor bathing
Water not safe for drinking in crude from but it is made drinkable after treatment and disinfection.
Water not suitable for human being's but suitable for fish culture and wildlife propagation.
Water suitable for irrigation and cooling in industries.
